Today was the second day of camp. I started with a great circle, and there were more children than the previous day. Guides and participants felt more comfortable and relaxed. We chatted with the children about what they learned the previous day (the three C's, the purpose of the camp and the subject matter thereof). The children responded enthusiastically, after listening to their ideas, we briefly told them what we were going to do during the day and then we followed with a vocal and a body warm up, it was a fun start-up with Vicki singing a song while the rest of us were dancing, very simple and fun, the children responded very well.

Later the group was divided in two to start with theater activities. The
group led by Fer stayed in the auditorium and the other group led by Vicky went
to the backyard. The children responded happily but many were scattered. After
Victoria and I did exercises so that everyone would get to know each other.
Then came the time for lunch and later we all went to the auditorium, where we
watched an interactive yoga video for children. The video showed in a clear and
didactic way what yoga is. The children were interested and not scattered led
by Dani's hand (fine arts guide). when this activity was over, Fer and Leif undertook the music class, where
the children learned music, melodies, scales, etc. They did a vocalization
exercise, and they had previously divided the group in 3. It was fun and on
this occasion the girls were highly concentrated, however the boys were
scattered but at the end we managed to organize ourselves. It was a nice
exercise, we ended this part of the day with the group divided into groups of
4, where they brainstormed and wrote about what they believe music was based on
their knowledge and adding what they had learned earlier.
After the exercise each group read what they wrote, so we saw they had
paid attention to the guides’ talk. The children showed a lot of interest and
seem very involed, they were not dispersed but rather eager to contribute their
opinion on the subject. Then there was a recess in the garden. Later we met in
the auditorium, we divided the group into three and asked the children based on
what they had learned about the 3Cs to draw or write something related.
As mentioned at the beginning for some children today was their first
day of camp so that those who were present yesterday, with the help of guides
and assistants, put them up to date. Then in the closing circle the children
told us what they had done during the day and as well as how they felt.
At the end of the day we met guides and assistants, all happy with how
the project is brewing, settling as a group and watching the activities flow.
While we were exhausted, the children seem, this is a very important motivation
for each of us.
